Strategic Plan development - January marks the beginning of intense work by the Oregon 150 Board of Directors, Ex Officios, and staff to develop a strategic plan for Oregon’s sesquicentennial in 2009. December brought many new Board and Ex Officios members to the table. Under the leadership of Board President Barbara Sidway, the Board expects to produce a final product this spring. The extensive and varied background information from which the Board will craft the strategic plan can be found on our website, www.oregon150.org.

We want to hear from you! -  Several significant projects and programs under development have been brought to our attention but I am quite sure we have yet to reach every corner of the state. To that end, I would very much like to hear about your plans for 2009—whether you are a private group, local government, a foundation, a commission, or a corporation. To simplify this process, please send a very brief description of your sesquicentennial project no later than January 31st.  This information with be extremely valuable to the Board’s work in identifying project partners over the next few years. For more information, contact Angela Sanders and visit the Community Resources page on our website, www.oregon150.org, for tools and tips to aid you as you plan your project.
