Oregon Byways

Think of the diversity of our climates. We’ve got the desert, mountains, thick forests, and the coast. Now think of how many you’ve actually been to. If the answer is a lot, then keep traveling. Otherwise, now is your chance! If you travel 150 miles or more, you’ll be eligible for all sorts of freebies. Create new experiences for yourself and take part in this joint effort with the Oregon Tourism Commission. Road, bike, or river trip, anyone?

About Travel Oregon

Oregon’s Scenic Byways offer a rich taste of the grandeur and diversity the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In fact, Oregon has more scenic byways and tour routes than any other state. Oregon has 4 All American Roads, 6 National Scenic Byways, 5 Oregon State Scenic Byways and 9 Oregon Tour Routes, with one new Oregon Tour Route and Oregon State Scenic Byway coming on board within the next year. If gas prices have stopped you in your big-car tracks, trade in your four wheels for two — hop on a motorcycle, or cycle part of the route. To start exploring the byways, check out one of the featured road trips on the Travel Oregon website. And remember…before you hit the road, be sure to order your own Scenic Byways Driving Guide.
