Sparks Lake

In 2006 I journeyed to Bend, Oregon to go camping at a place named Sparks Lake. It is a public campsite, no fee required; it’s first come first serve. Sparks Lake is located in the mountains and has a view of the Three Sisters. It has a lot of long hiking trails, making it easy to walk to the lake and see all the beautiful scenery. The lake has a lot of boating experiences to offer like skiing, wakeboarding and parasailing. Making it easy to have fun and enjoy yourself.

When I arrived at Sparks Lake first thing I noticed was the long clear blue stream near my campsite. The hot clean air, and the clear blue sky. The wildlife in Sparks Lake is really interesting; all the animals feel safe in their habitat and come out to express it. In the stream there are many sizes of fish. This makes it easy to catch one while fishing. When I was at Sparks Lake I went on a long nature hike, creating my own trail with my family. As I was walking I was worried about some hungry mountain lion coming out of nowhere and attacking me; it never did happen. The hike made me feel comfortable about the place and wanting more of it. The hiking was the most inspiring part about being there. The hikes made me wonder about the nature at Sparks Lake; making me thrive to see more.

In conclusion, Sparks Lake was probably the most exciting camping adventure I have ever had. I hope to return there someday and be thankful I discovered it in 2006.
