Crabbing at Newport

My favorite place in Oregon is Newport because it’s a fun place to get away for your problems and a place just to have fun with family and friends.
I usually go there two times a year with my older brother, mom, and my cousin Ricky so we can go crabbing. If you don’t know what that is, it’s when you have crab nets and throw them off the dock into the ocean and then you wait a little bit and pull up the nets to see if you got crabs in the net or not. When we go there we get about fifteen crabs, which is pretty good, but we’ve gotten more than that before. It takes a while to get there, but it’s worth it sometimes.
Just being there is really fun because you see a really good view of the ocean and the big bridge that goes over the ocean. Sometimes we see a seal when we’re there. We usually put fish in the net, but the seal would eat it all up, so we started putting chicken in the net instead, and to me it seemed it worked really well. The last time I was there was a couple months ago and we got a bunch of crabs. We mostly got red rocks, and some other ones that I don’t know the name of. Make sure you don’t get pinched by one of them because it hurts really bad, and trust me you don’t want to get pinched.
When it’s nice, the view is beautiful. I like going there, just spending my day out there hearing the waves crash into the rocks and hearing the seagulls talking to the other seagulls. I would like to have you go there because of the view and the way it feels when you’re there; and it’s a great place for family fun.
