Bridge of Nations - Lewis & Clark Expo

Jack Larsen, my grandfather came to America at the age of 12. He was a foreman on the Bridge of Nations. They called him “pile-driver Jack” - he operated a steam pile-driver building many of the railroad trestles in the area. He found time to be a bouncer at the Erickson saloon. I have his old photos. Great history…tough times.
