Daddy Celebrated the Oregon Centennial

For the Oregon Centennial, the entire DeMonnin family got into the festivities. I don’t remember too much except my grandmother made my sister and me a “pioneer” dress with matching caps, matching a dress she made herself. My dad, Charles DeMonnin, got into the act as well growing a handle bar mustache and getting a complete outfit that, on hindsight, looks a bit like the Maverick character. When Centennial festivities were over, mom shaved off dad’s mustache and planted quite a kiss on him, which part of our family home movie files.
